He purchased the perfect engagement ring. You said yes. Now you’re deep in the throes of wedding planning. If you’re looking for the best wedding venues in Southwest Florida, we can help.
Here are some of our clients’ favorite venues for creating that magical wedding moment you’ve dreamed of, whether you’re envisioning an outdoor wedding by the beach or something rustic and
southern-inspired.
Outdoor Weddings
For a beach or other outdoor setting, Southwest Florida delivers gorgeous scenery in spades.
Lovers Key State Park is a fittingly named venue for your big day and the park even offers customized wedding services to help you plan all the important details, from rehearsal dinner to reception, no matter the size of your event. Choose to host your wedding right on one of three beaches, or beneath the beautiful gazebo, or even at the new-build welcome center.
If you’re not really feeling the beach vibe, but you do want to hold an outdoor wedding, you’re not limited for options in Southwest Florida. The Naples Botanical Garden provides a lovely, fairytale-esque setting for an outdoor wedding, no sand in your shoes required.
Another not-quite-a-beach, but still outdoors option is Sea Oats Luxury Estate. Situated on Captiva Island, Sea Oats offers four acres of beautiful, secluded settings. Tie the knot on the dock, beneath an ancient tree or by the water. Before and after the wedding, you can use the estate for family activities, meals and more.
Naples and golf go hand in hand, so if you’re planning to host your wedding in Naples specifically, consider holding your event at The Quarry Golf Club. The private venue is beautifully maintained, and you can save a little in your wedding budget by bundling your venue with your food and beverage provider costs.
The Naples Princess, though, stands apart as a truly unique outdoor wedding venue, because the Naples Princess is a luxury yacht. While the yacht offers public cruises during the day, it can also be rented out for weddings and other special occasions. The yacht was recently renovated, to offer you the best in luxury experiences and, beyond hosting your ceremony and reception on the yacht, you can also use it for your welcome party, next-day brunch, bridal luncheons, in-laws’ acquaintance dinners, rehearsal dinner, bachelor or bachelorette parties and more.
Rustic Weddings
Rustic weddings are all the rage these days. If you’ve dreamed of hosting your nuptials in a barn or plantation-style setting, you can find it in Southwest Florida, thanks to a few key event venues.
Cypress M Ranch offers not only a real rustic setting with a ranch-style reception barn, country-style lighting and hay bale-style seating — but also lots of little amenities that take your wedding day from the same ol’ rustic thing we’ve all seen before to something over the top. Think bonfires at the reception. A full smoker for your caterer to use. A live country band. A horseback bride and groom entrance at the reception.
If you don’t quite need all that, you can find a more toned-down, less country-western vibe at Williams Farms, where you can still find a rustic barn setting, plus a ranch house that conveniently provides a place to hold the bride and groom before the ceremony commences.
The Naples Wedding Barn offers an upscale rustic wedding with one key amenity: air conditioning! If you and your guests aren’t accustomed to Florida heat (or just want to avoid it completely), but you still want a rustic barn-style wedding, this Naples venue will keep you cool while giving you the look you love
Resort & Hotel Weddings
There is a lot to be said for resort and hotel weddings. Your favorite luxury resorts are well-equipped to provide everything you need for a wedding ceremony and reception, the spaces they offer are typically large, and they offer the convenience of giving out-of-town guests a place to stay at the venue.
The Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa offers more than a dozen event rooms, across more than 30,000 square feet of event space, with the largest space capable of holding up to 965 attendees. While you likely don’t need quite that much space for your wedding, you’ll still enjoy the multiple ballroom options, as well as the sunset and palm tree views.
Diamond Head Beach Resort in Fort Myers offers the beauty of a beach wedding combined with the benefits and amenities of a resort wedding. The resort sits directly on the beach and every detail is accounted for, whether you’re planning a Florida destination wedding, or you already live nearby. Whatever the size of your wedding, you have plenty of different venues to choose from, from the rehearsal dinner to the farewell brunch.
Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa offers 26 acres of tropical-style playground on which you can plan your wedding, whether you want a beach setting or a ballroom or even a lush garden. The resort staff assist you with the planning process every step of the way, from choosing locally recommended vendors to setting up the tech for your reception to planning the perfect dinner menu.
Weddings in Historic Settings
Historic settings can lend an extra dose of romance to your wedding day.
Shangri-La Springs may be a hotel first, but it’s also historic, built in 1921 and offering luxurious accommodations in a lush setting in Bonita Springs. A highly rated and acclaimed wedding venue, the property is a veritable tropical paradise for your event.
The Edison and Ford Winter Estates were good enough for Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, so they’re more than good enough for your big day. The 21-acre venue offers historic indoor spaces, gardens and river views, for multiple places to hold your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.
For a historic wedding venue in a convenient locale, consider Burroughs Home & Gardens. Considered the only luxury, historic waterfront venue in downtown Fort Myers, with an open-air pavilion space, the Georgian Revival Mansion is an award-winning wedding venue for a reason. Whether you use the bridal suite, gardens, carriage house, or even the grotto as backdrops for your big day and subsequent photography, you’ll love both the look and the location.
The Heitman House was built in 1908 as an engagement gift for the owner’s fiancé, making it a truly worthy setting for a romantic event like your wedding day. The waterfront venue offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces, a wrap-around porch for a perfect post-ceremony photo shoot, a bridal suite and food and planning services, among its other perks.
