As a dynamic couple in Naples, Onus and Jelena are deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. Both immigrants who came to the U.S. for higher education, they met in Naples a decade ago and have since builta. strong partnership grounded in shared values.
Through their 2L foundation, they have been instrumental in supporting local initiatives, including helping Path2Freeom establish a second safe house for exploited children. They are currently spearheading a project to educate parents on protecting kids from online dangers like sextortion.
Their dedication to giving back reflects a passion for creating safer, more informed communities.
The proceeds from their involvment in the ‘Power Couple of Naples’ campaign will go directly to furthering the foundation’s mission.
About the 2l foundation
Many refugee children who arrive in the United States come from situations with little to no healthcare. This can result in undiagnosed and untreated illnesses or injuries. 2L assists these kids in accessing safe and reliable medical treatment to ensure a smooth transition to American life. Children represent the future of this country and no child can feel secure without first receiving quality care.
2L Foundation is partnered with world-class organizations that provide the full spectrum of help and support for children trapped in human trafficking rings around the world. This devastating and complex issue requires professional expertise, a safe environment, and vast resources as the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual damage inflicted on these young people is deep.
The 2L Foundation is committed to supporting all refugee children, regardless of race, religion, or creed, in integrating into their new life in the United States. Our education program allows youth to acclimate to North American culture.
The 2L Foundation is committed to providing both immediate relief efforts as well as long-term recovery initiatives to rebuild and revitalize the affected communities. This includes offering support for housing reconstruction, livelihood rehabilitation, and providing clean water and sanitation facilities. 2L collaborates with local authorities and other credible organizations to ensure that recovery efforts are sustainable and tailored to specific community needs.
